After I posted on the AH forum and begged for people to post their Dukes, saying I had 230k+ to spend, they started coming out of the woodwork. Lotta people must have had them on their squad not knowing it that card was the bottleneck of all bottlenecks, as I saw like two total in months of trying to finish the collection, now I see one listed more often than not and selling more often than not. First one went for 308k, then another for 290k before I got mine for 260...I imagine a lot of people were in the same boat, just need 1 card and you not only get Zack Wheat who is worth well over 500k, but a couple other cards worth 40k or so, plus Duke is a playable guy himself. 230k sounds crazy but the when you already have sunk all time time and effort and just need one card to unlock ~700k of goodies, it's a no brainer.

Either the 96 or the 99 work for the Dodgers collection. That's why both have such high L7s. But yes, you could sell your 99 Snider for 200+ grand

What I posted was 96 Snider. Is that the bottleneck? Is the reward significantly higher than the combined cost of all the cards? If so, I'll look at it myself. If not, I shake my head.......

The 96, he's playable in PL leagues, though he really needs to platoon..gets a solid 88 defense in LF and can play CF well enough to give your starter a rest as needed. Mine slashed .264/.332/.449 with 25 HR's and a 2.8 war. The 99 hits better but is a liability on defense even at LF.

Considering I posted the going price on 10-13-19, I'd imagine he's come down a bit from then.

I ask again, what is the combined cost of the cards....it seems like it might indeed be worth it.

Wheat 700k, plus couple more cards for that mission worth 40k. The dodgers collection as a whole also has the VERY playable Perfect Kershaw, 99 Gilliam who makes a great utility guy, and a couple sneaky good cards in SE Scioscia and SE WIllie Davis. Are we talking the value of the whole collection rewards? I'd say it's close to 1,000,000 PP.

I wasn't asking quite what the value of all the cards were, I have a pretty solid team with 7 Perfect titles. I'm not a super whale at all, but what does it cost to get the cards for Wheat? As a side note, I have an actual Zack Wheat tobacco card in my real life baseball card collection. I guess that will survive this digital stuff......

Oh, let me think. Most cards were not too crazy. I got extra value in that I am using the locked cards as my team more or less...It would be hard to do now as the AH is kinda dead, but if you already have a Duke it would be worth it for sure. Only expensive mission was the Kershaw which cost about 120k and that was with me being frugal and waiting for bargains. You get the Perfect Kershaw back tho so it pays for itself. I'd say ballpark figure, 300k plus a Duke? Could probably do it for under 250k if, unlike me, you have no interest in playing any of the locked cards. One could spend 500k if they wanted 98 Sutton, Perfect Jackie, etc. as part of the locked cards.

Wheat doesn't really sell for 700k anymore, but a solid 400-500. And even then, it probably makes paying 250 for Snider worthwhile, especially if you use any of the mission rewards.
