Established Deep Fictional (Alt. History) League Seeks.............

We are entering the 2023 post-season. We will have one opening for sure, potentially two. We've only had one opening in the last two seasons. We have a large group of dedicated owners, many have spent several years with their teams. We also have a robust league chat that sees alot of action.

We have a tremendous ownership group, a great website and a great league idea. We also have some very good writing on the league's front page. This is an associated league based on the idea that the south won the civil war. The Union League is a capped league, there is revenue sharing etc (trying to create parity). The Confederate League is an uncapped league with no revenue sharing. The focus here is on building your franchise through having a strong market.

Therefore we are looking for...............

1. Serious inquiries only. Almost every team is very active, and openings are rare. If you are in seven other leagues this league likely isnt for you. The dedicated teams win over the long haul. If you are willing to put in the time this league is for you.

2. Someone who enjoys the social aspect of online leagues. More than half of our owners are on the forum every day, we have many good discussions that occur on our league chat. Its fun, and it should be. If this appeals to you, then this is the league for you.

3. Someone who is willing to put in the time to BUILD a franchise. We have a deep minor league system, with six levels of minors. This takes time to manage this many minor league teams properly. The teams who develop their prospects win.

4. If you are interested in joining our league either now or with a future opening, please send me an e-mail colecleburne@gmail.com and tell me why you want to be in the league, why it appeals to you and why you think you will be a good owner. Of course those with a well reasoned and coherent response will get first consideration.

Charleston (AP) - For the last 12 seasons Trent Westfall has been arguably the league's best pitcher atop the Palmettos rotation, bringing home six Pitcher of the Year Awards and five NARBL World Titles. He's also the career leader in most statistical categories and a sure fire first ballot Hall of Famer.

Pitching in front of just under 45,000 fans in game two of the CBL Division Series the veteran tore his flexor tendon in his elbow. MRI results confirmed the diagnosis, which is the same injury suffered by Vulcans ace Carter Yancey. He will undergo surgery on Monday. With successful surgery he could be back throwing as soon as April, but will likely need 12 months for a full recovery.

We reached out to Carolina GM Cole Cleburne for comment; who didn't immediately return our call but called to state there would be a Sunday afternoon press conference detailing the results of the MRI.

"Trent's injury will likely keep him out all of next season. He is going to visit Dr. Michael Foles tomorrow to undergo surgery. Our medical staff will then oversee his recovery and rehabilitation. Trent would like to say thank you for all the well wishes he's already received. He's just as dejected as y'all are with the injury."

Cleburne also stated that Felipe Ramirez will be inserted into Westfall's spot in the rotation for the remainder of the playoffs, and they will evaluate where their rotation sits if they make it through to the Championship Series. With last night's win the Palmettos even the series at one as they head to Atlanta for game three.
