Most PP earned by a single player in a career?

I was looking through my players and the one who earned the most was Joe Torre (1971 - 85 OVR) (30,970 and only playing since 2027).

I figured out that was probably mediocre. But I went to the team I have in a Perfect League to look at the career leaders - guys with 8000 hits, and 150 WAR. I was surprised to find that a Bonds and Suzuki who just had insane careers clocked in at less than 20K (and both had been playing since 2021).

I still doubt 30K is top of the line, but the end of it is, I am sure there's no easy way to figure out just from the stat lines. It turns out about 6K or 7K from Torre were from +1000PP Hit Streaks. (I found in that Perfect League, there's a George Sisler who has just over 29K PP earned.)

Who do you have that tops your players? Especially in terms of total PP (not just extrapolating 5 seasons of PP production over 40 years).

I pulled a 99 Ty Cobb very early on (partway through the first season) and he's accumulated 52,830PP in his career. There's a couple 1000+ PP moments sprinkled in there but it's mainly just grinding out the small awards.

A 100 Greg Maddux I got in 2022 has gotten 29,855PP in his career. Though it wasn't until June 2023 that he got his first PP with a 1900PP game.

My final candidate is a 100 Joe Morgan (last time I got a historical perfect in a pack!) who's gotten 33,850PP since 2025. Some big moments including a 5000PP Drive 'em in and a 3000PP Run Streak.

52.8K, wow. So you have two guys at 30K+. I found two guys in the Perfect League I'm in who are in the 30Ks. So it looks like 30K may be the first tier of excellent career output. And getting above that in the 40K and 50K are probably the elites.

An interesting note - I have Dick Groat. Since 2021, and he's amassed 114.9 WAR (probably in the top 80 in the league in rank). But only 3.4K PP.

I think I saw a 100 Walt on the Harlem Hatchets, pulled in the first week and spending most of the time below Perfect, amassed at least 100k. And that was when I looked in July or so, he's gotta be over 200k easy, probably closer to 300k I'd bet.

Cy Young 100. Whoever has had him since 2019 should be over 200K by now.

to get a more true value for the card, minus the pp off of the card and that should give an idea of ROI. Although that also can be misleading as a 5pp iron who earns 500pp is not as valuable as a 1000pp who earns 2500pp in the same time frame.

I am always happy if a player earns his cost back within a season or two. I dont have any real high value carda but do have a few gold who have earned 3 or 4 times their cost price.

My highest is Perfect Legend Maddux, with a little over 40k. But my team stinks, so this is pretty impressive because he's dong his own heavy lifting.

I saw a Bob Feller with just under 100,000. Forget which team. Pretty good for a player who goes for less than 60,000.

My highest is Ed Walsh at around 40,000. Had him since late July.

Ed Walsh 27335, Rube Waddell 24390. Bought like a week ago. With the license/PP sale over Christmas, decided to jump in and start a team from scratch. (Yeah, I am that guy...) Only through our Bronze season at the moment.

Lesson learned: if you are gonna go whale, do it from the start. It's like a cash-back card...

Same two pitchers bought/acquired while in Perfect 3(+) months ago: 20025 and 16755

I just nabbed that 98 Feller for a team, it will be interesting to see what he does. Torre is up to 32K+ now, even in the Diamond level he was the #1 All Star vote-getter this season.

Also, with him (not that it matters for PP), it's the 3B version - which is so terrible defensively I moved him to 1B back the year I got him (where he's a tolerable 40-50 something defense).
