Need help starting a league

I am trying to create an online league in 20. The plan is for a friend of mine that has 20 to play with me in the league with the rest of the teams being computer controlled.

So I want to start out simple as a test so I can figure it out.

I have my own FTP server and have all of the settings correct. When I test them, they upload correctly.

Now I am commish. I am going to create a small 12 team league and assign him as a GM for that team. Then just let him play against the others while I do the simming so we can learn how it works. This is our 1st online league.

I am using a gmail account to send out the e-mails. Use FTP for them to import and export the files.

I want to use this thread to ask questions to you experts. I can post screen shots of my issues.

I am on the 21 beta team and we have a test league there. I can also take suggestions and it will have more pull for them to work on coming from me.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

You haven’t been in any online leagues but you want to start one? Interesting.. you should try to join one to see how it goes and learn from it!

Yes, this is true.

I am in a test league in 21 and talking to them. IMHO and others too, it is not easy to start a league. It can be confusing. We are working to make it better. So actually I am in a league but it is in 21.

Starting a league is only confusing when you're not familiar with the software. For those of us around for multiple versions (me for basically all of them), it can be done very quickly. Don't twittle with the league setup procedures in beta. That's not broken.
