Cards notes: Preview of series with Pittsburgh
The Cardinals hit the road for PNC Park in Pittsburgh to face the slumping Pirates.
Pittsburgh has dropped nine of its last 10 games to fall from first to third place in the NL Central, a game behind the first-place Milwaukee Brewers. Note: Matt Morris has been returned to AAA Chandler to help in its quest to make the postseason. |

Cards notes: Ross requests extension
Cardinals reserve catcher David Ross has asked about an extension. We signed him in late August. He has not played in a MLB game yet and he wants coin.

MLB notes: Cubs lose Wilson
The Cubs' have announced that reliever Brian Wilson will miss the rest of the season.
Maybe, he should just go back to hanging out on the beach. |

Cards notes: Preview of series with Reds
After having whatever late-season momentum they had squashed by a three-game sweep in Pittsburgh the Cardinals head back down the Ohio River to Cincinnati to face the Reds.
The Reds own a 1/2-game lead over the Pirates in the NL Central. |

Time out: May be taking time off
I am planning on heading to Florida in the morning.
I am going to attempt to take OOTP with me, but I am only guessing how to get it done. There also is finding the time to play, especially with my team out of the race the incentive is not really there. Although, I would like to see how things play out overall. If I don't get any/many games in by the time I get back in early April, I may just sim the thing out and post the results. By that time, it will be time to play the 2018 season. Although my hopes fo the 2018 St. Louis Cardinals are not high at all. -- RINK23 |

Update: Game works, screenshots do not
I am able to play OOTP 18 2000 Champions League, but I am unable to take screenshots.
They don't seem to take and there is no screenshots folder. Also, the game plays in fullscreen and I cannot figure out how to minimize it so I can refer back to the game while I am posting to the thread. Any hints/suggestons, as I hear trucks roar by on I-65 just feet from my hotel room in Forsyth, Ga., it might be a day or two before I actually get to play a game. |

Fun league. I just saw Yadier Molina play with St. Louis in an exhibition game against Miami on MLB TV. It is sort of comforting to see players you have watched for many years. Baseball's value is in large part the sense of continuity is gives us in a changing world.

Still on vacation
Still in Florida, won't be home until early next week but still hope to complete season.
On the way home, I have tickets to regular season games in Tampa/St. Pete and Atlanta, which will bring me to 22 of 30 ballpark which are in use. Hope to have hit all 30 within next three years. |
