are online leagues fantasy sports?

I was reading this and it got me wondering about online league,

I would say no because the outcomes of online sim leagues aren't based on real life player performances.

I would say no because of the money. I think of it similar to holding a poker game at your house (with no rake) and running a casino.

Irrelevant. The only issues are money and gambling. If no money is involved, there is no gambling.

Title says: Are online leagues fantasy sports?

It doesn't compare the thing to, say DraftKings, and I'm pretty sure there are OOTP leagues with money involved in them.
