Tony Parker retires after 18 seasons, 6 All-Star berths and 4 NBA titles. Not a bad return on a player selected 28th overall in the 2001 draft.

"A lot of different stuff ultimately led me to this decision," Parker said. "But at the end of the day, I was like, if I can't be a Tony Parker anymore and I can't play for a championship, I don't want to play basketball anymore."

So, would Parker get your vote for the basketball Hall of Fame?

Taking into account his international accomplishments as well, yes.

Good to see Durant back in the lineup. The Warriors should score more than 92 tonight, but KD's addition doesn't help with Golden State's soggy defense.

Raptors deserve their wins but the Warriors are falling apart. Durant and Looney re injured themselves and Thompson still does not look right.

Cousins tried to lose it for them, but the Warriors prevail.

Durant is done for the series and possibly next season as well.
If the Warriors front office and team pressured him to come back early...wow. That could lead to further bad blood.
Will also be interesting to see the market for him next season once the extent of the injury is known after the MRI later today.

Also, the small part of me that believes in conspiracies thinks with was an Achilles injury all along.

This. That Dubs' GM sounded guilty postgame. I got the vibe that he was more worried about getting blamed than he was about KD's foot. I would think Durant's people would have sent him to their own doc for a 2nd opinion.

Too much is being made of Nurse's timeout. That was nothing compared to Toronto not putting GS away when the Warriors came up empty on a number of possessions down the stretch (Cousins goaltend, his illegal pick, the backcourt violation).

Mark Jackson: "You get the feeling that Kawhi Leonard is sensing the moment."
Mike Breen: "Like he's done so many times before..."

To his credit, Kawhi was amazing for a 2 or 3 minute stretch late in the fourth. But then: Kawhi's airball fadeaway, followed by a Thompson 3. Open 3-pt-er missed by Lowry, followed by Curry missed 3. Turnover by Lowry, followed by a Curry 3 to tie. Then, IMO the most-key-worst decision of the game: Kawhi forces up an out-of-rhythm three, with plenty of time on the shot-clock, that predictably clanks off the rim. Essentially, ballgame. (Although Raptors still had their chances, and to be fair, Gasol was very likely fouled by Cousins on a driving attempt. That would've made it 106-105 Warriors with just under 50 seconds to play.)

But that's today's game: Hero ball. Sure, sometimes it works. But I'd rather see a team run a play.

And my criticism is less with Kawhi - those things happen - but more so with the idiot narrative spouted by Jackson & Breen (and routinely by Van Gundy, too). If Kawhi was actually "sensing the moment" and stepping up, why did he suddenly stop sensing the moment?

The calling of the timeout was truly baffling. GS only had one left and was surely going to save it unless disaster struck.
Toronto had them on the ropes and was making basket after basket and GS could not hit one of their own.
And then suddenly when most teams would call a timeout to stop the bleeding and compose themselves, but GS could not, Toronto does it for them anyways.

Bit of a roller coaster last night. Our neighborhood lost power right before tipoff and I had to go to a neighbors house who was watching it in his RV on a generator.

The post game interviews were a bit too intense, though I had a few beers n blunts. There is some splainin required.

The crowd thing didn't both me that much. Maybe it's because I really know Canadians (I'll be in Canada tomorrow) and that's just not them.

I put the series at 50/50 now. Warriors are on a high and will win Game 6 at home. This is the last game ever at Oracle so the crowd and hype will factor in heavily to the Warriors favor. Game 7 will be a tossup, though my biased opinion would favor the momentum.

The Raptors are good ... really good. Leonard is next level talent.

It is only a matter of time before one of these assistants becomes a head coach and thus the first female head coach of a mens professional team in North American sport.

Durant did indeed rupture his Achilles and had surgery today.
Will probably miss the entire 2019-2020 season.

Wonder what the domino effect of that will be on Summer-of-2019 free agency...

Raptors nail 7 of 14 treys in the 1st quarter but are only up by one. My money is on Toronto as it has been for every game in this series. I expect the better team to win and that's the fellas from the frozen north.

Lowry with 21 first half points. Helluva game.

Curry's been quiet and Warriors still only down 3. Chances of him going off in the 2nd excellent.
