Why no trading?

I know this could lead to very lopsided trades but I was just wondering what the reasoning for it was. it could lead to some fun wagers among friends in the future.

Exactly. Unfortunately we have people that will try to work between the lines wherever they can. I'm amazed with what some have come up with. Didn't think I'd ever see a team using a 2nd team as a minor league feeder for developing players, and yet...

Why don't they simply bar with code the ability to buy cards from the same account?

Pretty sure this is already impossible. And some kinds of trading is not entirely banned. People negotiate sales all the time on the discord.

Which are all technically against the TOS based on the way they are conducted.

Yup, I agree. But the TOS are selectively enforced because that is the only way they make any sense.

If they started banning for that, then people would just change their discord names or they would go elsewhere to talk. It's simply impossible to enforce. They just need standard auction rules that apply to everyone regardless of whether the buyer and seller spoke to each other or not.

The sad part is that it has to be enforced. As someone else said, why not just do the right thing.
