PT21 public beta card error thread

Please post about obvious card errors in this thread. And I am not talking about "Why is the 1993 Roberto Alomar a 86 and not a 90!?" here. I am talking about "Why does the 1993 Roberto Alomar have a defensive rating at LF and not 2B?".

Also, things like wrong logos or wrong card titles etc. By the way, some early cards do not have a team logo, that is okay because back in the day many teams did not have a logo and if they did, we do not have MLB permission to use it.

Real minor issue - Nate Cornejo - 2003 (42). His card shows RHP Reliever, but he started all 56 major league games he played in.

Jalen Beeks (live card) is listed as a 2-way player (pitcher/1B). I don't see a reason for this -- he doesn't have a defensive rating at 1B. I can't find any record of him playing 1B or even pinch-hitting in the minor or major leagues. And he certainly isn't a good enough hitter (29 contact/7 power/29 eye) to justify using him in the field.

Also, there doesn't seem to be a check box to turn "use as 2-way player" on/off for him. This box appears to be present for actual 2-way players. Thanks!

That's not directly card related. I have a Jalen Beeks as well, and he did not come as a two-way player. What's going on is that the AI just seems to love making a few guys two-way players when it does your initial roster set up.

It's a little card related, because his batting ratings are (arguably) too high, which triggers the possibility of the ai doing this. I knocked them down a bit.

I have a silver 71 Ryan Braun but the card picture shows as a 65 bronze. I have included a screenshot as evidence.

How can anybody have a *2019* One Hit Wonder card? Is that much doom predicted for him?

2020 Live Luis Rengifo's card says he's a 3B. But he's only rated at 2B and SS and hasn't yet played 3B in the majors.

There are a smattering of cards that appear as CL or RP on the auction house but who have the assigned role of SP when they join the team and are listed as starters on their cards. 1982 Unsung Hero Jim Slaton (41 Ovr) and 1984 Unsung Hero Dave Dravecky (42 Ovr) are two example of this.

Anecdotally, I have only seen this happen to pitchers with stamina ratings in the 20's and 30's.

It feels like Edgar Renteria (bos, 2005) having a single-digit (4?) rating at SS might be an error. I mean I know he had 30 errors, but he was only 28 and two years off a GG year.

I mean 4?? (Does Kevin Millar at 1b rate none of the blame?)

1939 Snapshot Billy Werber is missing the team logo (Cincy) on his card.

1982 Unsung Hero Mike Caldwell (46 Ovr) is listed as a "LHP Reliever" on his card, despite having a stamina rating of 91. He started 34 games in addition to a singular relief appearance that year, allowing him to amass 258 IP.

I came across the following on 3/23 while using hotfix (Version 21.1.34).

In the AH, this Gene Garber card is originally advertised as a closer (CL) even though the search field results were to show only Starting Pitchers (SP)

However, when you open up and take a look at the card, it now shows him as a Starting Pitcher (SP).

Peak Roy Campanella has a Gap Power of 15 (10 vs LHP, 17 vs RHP). Considering he hit as many as 33 doubles and 1 triple in 1951, this seems rather low, especially for a Peak.

After a quick perusal of the available databases, Campanella has the lowest Gap Power of any position player. The next closest players to him are Muddy Ruel, Mickey O'Neil, and Roy Thomas, all of whom sport a 23 Gap Power.

This Rollie Fingers Card needs a edit as in the AH it is listed as a CL card however, it is actually a SP card.
