Historical game custom line-up

I would like to replay past seasons and control each team's line-up. I'm starting with the 1951 season. I am in Commissioner mode. The standard line-up and batting orders of each team is not consistent with the real 1951 line-ups and batting orders (I compared with baseball reference.com). So, I made custom line-ups for each team (both LH and RH) and saved game after I completed each team. However, if I want to play a game I go to the league homepage > scores > manage game, the line-ups that come up are the default line-ups that I changed. The line-ups I made don't come up. Am I doing something wrong? I don't want to have to change each teams line-up every day, so, was thinking that I could just switch the line-up that appears to the custom I created. Any suggestions?

When you create a league, you can choose the option to use historical lineups (and historical transactions, too). Is there some reason you chose not to?
