Cash maximum

I've always assumed the cash maximum was set at the default setting of $10 million because it helped keep the financials in check over the course of a long career in a modern day MLB league, but something that's always bothered me about it is how it limits a single year loss to $10 million as well. To me, a team can get away with sining bad contracts this way by just releasing all players with overpriced contracts in a single year.

Has anyone experimented with raising the cash maximum or eliminating it all together? Will it cause the financials to go screwy in a few years because some teams horde too much cash and free agent contracts become ridiculous? Looking for some insight from people who go off from the default settings.

I upped it to IIRC $25m back in OOTP11 one time and never again. It sent player contracts into the absurd (mimicking real life, lol)

I have always set the Cash Maximum to an extremly high number, I think 1 billion is where I set it.

But, I keep it in check for where when a team moves to a new stadium, they gotta pay for it, so I take a huge chunk of cash out to make up for that. So far, no problem. And this is for a league I have started in OOTP 13 back in 1876
