OOTP18 crashing on MacBook Air... please help

MY OOTP18 crashes every time I attempt to sign in. I have a MacBook Air. This is what a computer specialist told me...

"From looking at the crash report, and reading some supplemental stuff online, all things point to a graphics card driver issue that affects MacOS High Sierra. Your system updates are current so there is not a "fixed" graphics driver update available that hasn't been installed. This may be a case where either Apple has to release updated graphics card drivers for the Macbook Air, or the publisher of the game comes out with a workaround for the issue. I have played around with disabling/changing a bunch of the graphics settings, but it still crashes every time."

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated!

This is an issue where a few users who are using High Sierra have been getting crashes while trying to play a 3d game after upgrading High Sierra to 10.13.

We've traced the issue to a bug with the latest video card drivers that come with that update for Intel 5000 cards. Since this is an Apple issue, it's not something we can fix for now. Hopefully Apple will fix it in their next driver/OS update.

If you go into the 'Settings' menu on OOTP's start screen, then go to '3d & Facegen', you'll see an option to set 'Audience Quality'. Set this to 'Low', and you should be good to play out a game in 3d again with no issues. Or you can try changing 'Audience Detail' to 'Simplified', which should also work.
