Schedule Request - 1 league, 4 divisions, 6 teams per division, 168 games

Hi everyone,

I'm new to OOTP (I've had it for about 6 weeks now and love it).

I know this is my first post here, so I apologize that I'm already asking for help. I'm looking for a schedule that I didn't see posted here. I tried the scheduling program but it doesn't seem to be able to do what I want.

I would like to create a fictional league with 1 subleague, 4 divisions of 6 teams each. Each team would play divisional opponents 12 times (6H, 6A) and every other team 6 times (3H,3A) - so 60 division games and 108 out of division. I don't want 2 subleagues because for my playoffs I want the 4 division winners plus the next 4 best records as wild cards.

I checked the forum and didn't see any schedules like this. I could spend time creating it, but I didn't know if anyone had a schedule like this already created.

Thank you, and sorry again for the request as my first post!

Thank you!
It doesn't seem like it should be that difficult, but I'm such a newbie that I would probably need a huge amount of time to figure things out.

You know with that schedule that you will get divisions winners with losing records sometimes?

Yes I know.
I'm experimenting with different setups to see what I like.
In a way it's sort of like the NFL or NBA - there can be one dominant division and one stinker. That's why there will be wild cards available for the teams in the more dominant divisions.

I want the schedule to be somewhat unbalanced but not completely. I also don't want the season to be 200 games long (if the division played 18 division games against each team, plus 6 agains the other 18 teams, that's a 198 game schedule) and I want every team to play a home and home against every other team.

I suppose I could do 2 game series and do something like 16-18 division games (x5 teams = 80-90) and 4 against the other divisions (x18 teams = 72) and have a 152-162 game season, but I like 3 (or 4) game series better.

Again, I'm really new to this game, so I'm just trying different ideas to see what sticks.
