I just hope that customization in this case doesn't mean simply picking between which existing leagues to use in that hockey universe. Wholly fictional creations as well as historical recreations should be have some presence. |

All teams, players, leagues, league rules are fully editable (names, ratings, team market, fan interest, arena quality, league structure, salary cap, salary floor, reputation of league, point system for standings, ...). My point is: the game will not have hard coded data at all, much like OOTP.

I know, I know, it's too early to talk about specific features. |

I normally don't promise features ... but since automatic promotion/relegation are already implemented I would say it has a pretty good chance to make the initial release version.

When you say "automatic" I hope it isn't something that the user has no choice on? |

All the customization will be optional. "Automatic" means that the game is able to handle promotion and relegation automatically.

Since you're online right now, Sebastian, and my post from yesterday got buried, let me re-ask a question about this exciting new project:
Certainly very excited to hear about this new development. Best of luck to you, Sebastian! I am curious to learn if there is a plan for the initial release is to allow fictional dynasty leagues (i.e. develop fictional teams over the course of multiple years)?

There are people over at the Blueline who create up to date rosters for the last version of EHM, so maybe they would be interested in helping out

Fantastic news! I have to pinch myself to see if I'm dreaming!

Your question is hard to answer for me at this time as I don't want to get hopes up and then let you guys down. Since we make everything editable (much like OOTP) the basics are available but before we add a feature (in this case an interface to build fully fictional worlds) half baked into the game I will keep it back and make it right in version two. But again, that does not rule out the feature for the initial release!

Absolutely fantastic news, and it definitely will fill a need for many, many people.
I'll be emailing you soon, Sebastian, as I'd like to get in on the ground floor in the research/database end of things |
