League Modifer Question
I am simming a pseudo-historical game from 1876 to current times. I say pseudo because the players are real at the real year but the teams are fictional. Once I reach modern times I'll take control of a team and go from there. The reason I'm doing this is so that there is a constant baseline for HOFer, records, etc. The number of games played will always be the same as one example.
My question regards league modifiers. I get that I can set the modifer higher or lower. But will that number stay relatively the same in 1880 as 1980? If I set home runs to .665 will they automatically hit the same amount of home runs even though there were 200 players in 1880 and 2000 in 1980? I'd like to set it all to one number and never mess with it throughout history so that the playing field is even.
