A case for Online Leagues having head to head (Co-Op) features

Hey guys,

I've written previously what I think is desperately missing in OOTP, and that if OOTP had such a feature like Online Leagues in The Show, I'd probably never play anything else!

So, here was a nice article I read at Operation Sports, and would definitely like to hear what others have to say on this topic. I know some play Solo leagues and nothing but...to me, OOTP has always been how it brought a group of people online and formed great friendships.

Here's the article:

The Time is Now for Online Co-op in Sports Games - Operation Sports

What do you think? Could OOTP go to the next level if it did this? If it required servers, would you be willing to pay a nominal fee for it?

We all have different schedules. It would be near impossible to do a season of head-to-head when everyone is on at different times.

Video games are designed for quick games, but OOTP is designed for multiple seasons.

Already failing to see the point. So here's a brief example:

League "ABC" updates by the Commissioner twice a week. Each time, there are 7 day sims. If (for example) the next sim is on Sunday, and it's Thursday, I have 3 days to attempt to get those games in by linking up with that person. If they can't be played...they get simmed as they do now. Like the solo experience, it allows deeper immersion into the experience. Not everyone likes playing by themselves or just with themselves.

Honestly, how long does a game take to play? How long would a series? I see guys playing The Show online, and 9 innings goes 60-90 minutes. I'd think you could get a series done in that space of time on OOTP. How does that cause a problem? A perfect time to enjoy baseball and a beer.

You, Sir, are 20th Century thinking in a 21st Century World. Like OOTP is everywhere else...OPTIONS OPTIONS OPTIONS.

So explain yourself?
