Public beta vs release

Will the public beta gold master version be the final rosters so I can start my long term save or will there be a release day update for beta users with updates that will only take in effect with starting a new game?

There will almost certainly be updates to player rosters before release. We likely won't "lock" the rosters until around MLB opening day due to how the live start processes things. (and obviously we may continue to fix things after opening day as well to correct bugs if we have incorrect data).

Matt,

Just to confirm: even with the live-start process, will there be an update patch released around or just after Opening Day that will include those rosters, so we can use them in the New Standard Game start?

And just to press a bit further, I think the top 20 Draft prospects are already fairly solid; are those going to be included?

We're still discussing how to handle that. Because we're releasing a fair bit before opening day, we'll want to make sure we don't miss anything.

But even the first version we release next week will be as accurate as we can make it given the data we have. So yeah, teams' top 20-30 prospects should be roughly right anyways for release. It's more if there happens to be a last minute trade or extension that we'll figure out the best way to handle that all.
