This sounds like a bad survivor theme gone bad... Will each team be able to raid other teams and sale players on the open market just how africans started slavery ? You had better not get to realistic or you might not like what you find out.

Yep and every other civilization that has ever existed has done some really bad things. There are so many leagues out there with white American players. They had blacks as slaves and stole another people's land while almost completely wiping them out. I think that's why it's an alternate world. You can take the good things from a civilization.

Anyway, this will be my only post on this topic, but I felt the need to reply.

First off I wasn't comparing any two nations so your first sentence makes no sense. " There are so many other leagues out there with American white players" ?? huh ? Do you mean with ONLY American white players or with those players in the league because either point would make no sense at all. Just trying to make sense of what your "one" post means....

I think what Eagle_Eye was meaning was that its a bit rich to complain about the league having slavery/racial discrimination connections when everyone else plays leagues set in the conquering colonising nation with sensitive team names like the Atlanta Braves and the Cleveland Indians. Incidentally, if you believe that African nations 'started' slavery, what exactly was the Roman empire built on, and before that prehistory? There goes the new Augustus Caesar on-line league

This looks like its going to be a great league. I wish I had a little more time to take on a burgeoning franchise - get in on the ground floor of this one!

Kieran and I are going to be working on the logos. Here is the style we are using. We feel it is good looking while also maintaining a primitive look to the logo. Each logo will have an animal with an ancient symbol in it.

A few. We don't start the initial draft until Saturday the 13th. If we are not full by the 13th, we'll add members during the draft.

Your site looks great. This has been the most original concept I've seen in an online league in quite some time. Great work.

How's the initial teams coming...filled up yet.

I'm debating...I want to apply....but I have a self-imposed limit of 3 leagues. Anymore, and I know I can't be as active as I like to be.

You know what'd make it more interesting? The ability to consult witch doctors to effect the outcome of how players perform, but no one likes that idea.

We're up in the high teens for members now. We're getting an average one application a day. At this rate we should be filled or close to filled by Saturday when the draft begins. More apps are welcome!
