NHL Trades and RFA Signings
I haven't had a chance to try too many things on the FHM6 but I am very disappointed that the trading machinery has not been updated to allow the trading team to hold back some of the salary. It's a huge part of many trades in the current NHL.
Also, there seems to be a glitch in the RFA signing system: I think I can offer a contract for $15M AAV and still only get hit for 3 first-rounders, because that is all the years FHM projects forward. |

Actually, we increased the number of years for future draft picks in the database, although most game systems don't use it yet. I'll see if it can be implemented in this case to get the 4 first-round for a maximum-level offer sheet.

That's great news on the draft picks. Thanks, Jeff. It wasn't there last night (I am on IOS) but it will likely kick in with the updated launch version.

What about salary retention? Is this being fixed for release?

From what i have read it's not going to be a feature, at least not at release, and probably not at all in FHM 6, which is fine because if they are going to put something like that in the game it needs to be done right.

Yeah, I think Jeff said on a stream that it was going to be something that was at the top of the list for FHM 7.

Frustrating for sure, but as you say, better it's done right rather than half baked.

It would be very useful to see both strength and weakness of a team during trade negotiations. Also an easier way to see your own team’s strenght & weakness.
