I updated 300 facegens for the 1973 MLB season. IMO, these improve on what is included in the historical facegen pack.

How do I use these files for OOTP 17? Sorry, not that computer savvy, but would really like to have historical player pictures rather than just made up pics or none at all? I have downloaded the files, but not sure how to get them into my game. Any help is appreciated.

In your OOTP "data" folder, you'll find the "fg_files" folder. This is where you place the files after downloading and unzipping them.

These are very good man. Good job. How are you saving them properly with the modeller? I am making some facegens with 3.5, but they can't be saved as FG files, but only tif, tga, jpg, and something else. None will upload in game (and after manually adding .fg to each file).

This version is worth trying (I now prefer it to the modeller) especially if you're having problems with 3.5:

From what you're describing it sounds like you're selecting 'save image' rather than 'save' from the file menu. If I select 'save image' those are the only options I get (along with a .bmp otion), but selecting 'save' (or hitting ctrl+s) is what you want, the file saves as a .fg and loads in OOTP perfectly.

This is the problem. I totally forgot how to work this thing.

edit... tried and it works! Will be fun to play with again now.

New Lip Pike, cleaned up Jim/Joe Nealon and Bill Lange, a new Zaza Harvey and a new Ty Cobb in his prime.

Some of these are tweaked from other peoples' work, like the Radbourn one (I made his head less "heavy"). Galvin and Luhnow I made from scratch.

Other players in the file are Jeff Luhnow, Denis Menke, a de-tanned Lou Gehrig, a de-monstered Candy Cummings, and a de-tanned Paul Dean.

Any of you fine folks ever come across a Stephen_Lombardozzi.fg file (that's actually Steve Lombardozzi Jr but he's known as Stephen Lombardozzi in the game) or a Josh L_Bell.fg file (not Josh E_Bell.fg - I'm sure we all have plenty of him in our fg_files folders as he debuted in 2016), or a Jake J_Smith (not Jake M_Smith, he just debuted in 2016 and I'm quite sure we have lots of him)? There is currently no differentiation between the two Josh Bells or the two Jake Smiths in the master.csv file. There are probably others like this that have built up over time and it would be nice to get them sorted out...or not. Anyway, if anyone could help me out with those three facegens, I'd really appreciate it.

I've edited all of the players facegens for the 1903 season. I either cleaned up or created new facegens for all players, free agents, managers, and owners that come with the 1903 season.

If a facegen was already "good", I didn't edit it. So if this file is dumped into your facegens folder there will be no "zombie" looking players and the players will look like they should (European and asymmetric per the facegen creator) in 1903. A few players have more than one facegen. This is indicated by _2 or _mustache. Some players have a couple different naming files depending on how people might like to name them.

I plan on cleaning up each year as I go along in the challenge mode league I've started.
