File Maintenance
Computer is on the older side, as the data compiles the game is slowing down. What are some suggestions to maintain the game files? What settings should be adjusted to relieve the data that accumulates from the game on the computer?
Any suggestions would be appreciative. Only in season two with feeder leagues and the game is losing momentum. Contemplating erasing the game to start over and eliminate feeder leagues. |

What if I go into the game, click on the database tab, then click on the right hand corner tab "database tools" what would I click from there to get rid of past box scores and logs? |

Or, perhaps under Almanac, can I check mark one of the automatic data dump settings? if so, what does dump to CSV file, Access file, MySQL file mean?

You can't do that from database tools.
How big is your league? How many levels, how many teams? Are you using feeders? Do you have other leagues such as international? What are your computer specs? Hard to help cure the problem without a proper diagnosis. |

2.4 GHz INtel 1 GB memory League information: Started with New Standard Game using 2014 rosters, using full minor leagues, along with Feeder Leagues. For the feeder leagues it is 4 college leagues and 3 high school leagues. |

Given your system specs, I'd say try running smaller leagues. Less minors and eliminate feeders will make a big difference.
The larger a league, the longer it takes to sim. So much data to crunch. As the years pass your sims will run slower and slower as the data builds up. Of course you may prefer feeders and all the minors, which basically means you have to endure the slowness. Also, when you start OOTP, on the opening screen, click on settings. On the window that pops up, the 2nd last item which shows "Auto Play Display" - click the dropdown and set it to Simple dialog (faster). This makes a big difference in sim time also. |
