feeder league player creation problem.

I’m a member of an online league in its 15th season (spanning a couple of versions of OOTP.)

The league is MLB based (with the addition of two expansion teams) to make it a total of 32 MLB teams with the standard AAA, AA, A, SA, and R leagues as well.

In some discussion with the commissioner of the league we're always looking for ways to improve and to add some “realism” to a league that is becoming more and more fictional as the years pass, why not add a feeder league? We’d be able to see stats for players for more than 1 season, get to watch them develop and it could create some interesting story lines. Also allows for some nice articles to be written in terms of upcoming talent and even mock drafts of some kind, especially since you’ll be able to look out to future years and see what’s going to be available. I’ve read just about everything possible on the forums in regards to setting up the feeder leagues.

*

Based on the formula, I need 160 feeder league times to fill my 30 round amateur draft.

I’ve set-up the following…

100 College Teams + 100 High School Teams

I spent a couple of hours renaming the High School teams to actual High Schools (using Rankings from maxpreps.com in doing so) along with setting up team geographic locations to try and make everything as accurate as possible.

*

I did this in a separate league file since I don’t have access to the main online league file (Also wanted to be able to test it as well and allow the commissioner to test it in a separate league file before implementing it into the league. This would allow us to work out any kinks before introducing it.)

*

I viewed the players (List all HS players) and there were dozens of top prospects. I went to templates and selected “Save this World as Template.”

*

I exited the test league file and created a new league file. “Added Template to World” and viewed players. There is ZERO talent now. No players worthy of being drafted in the 30th round, let alone the 1st. What am I doing wrong? I made sure that the league is only using the feeder league players (Thinking that potentially it would create additional players and that’s where the talented players would come from.) Even in the college league there is no viable talent.

*

All of the player creation mods have been untouched so they are defaulted to OOTP’s settings and the only restrictions I have is the ages.

*

Any ideas of what I’m doing wrong?*
