lol, and with the pack I bought from the 1000 PP I got for making the playoffs, I pulled a Corey Kluber (98 rating). At the beginning of the season my pitching was awful with guys like Joe Ross and Bobo Holloman getting absolutely shelled and a pretty mediocre bullpen and I was staying afloat by hitting lots of home runs. Then all season like 80% of the good cards I pulled were pitchers. Now I'm going into the playoffs with a rotation of Syndergaard, Kluber, Carrasco, and a 1966 Jim Bunning (88 rating). Plus I ended up with a 7th/8th/9th inning squad of O'Day, Miller, and Minter, finished with the 4th best ERA in relief in the league. Probably going to end up selling my Teddy Higuera, already sold David Price. EDIT: And I go and check one of my other teams and we scored 29 runs in one game, Tatis had 6 hits, and I picked up about 6500 PP in that game alone. Very first card that comes out is Rizzo (89). The Chattanooga Rebels ended up winning their bronze division with after thrashing the Plumbers, 13-3, in a tie-breaker for the top spot. The final record for Chat was only 87-76, so there was a certain squeeze element involved, and the top four in the division all won 79+ games. That also means promotion to silver for a free-based team that probably does not have a place there, but who am I to complain? Except about that I keep pulling nothing but gunk in terms of pitching for this team…
Then, the Portland Raccoons - with all the coin I blew up their bums in the first ten days - managed the same 86-76 record through 162 games as Chattanooga did. Since the division was dominated by the 118-44 Spokane Riptide with three perfect and four diamond, plus about 15 gold cards, there was only a wild card available for the Critters, which they snatched by three games; there were only six winning teams in this subleague, which also contained a 128-win team by a certain Mr. Thalion. Yeah, I have no illusion for a playoff run here. The good news? Coons have Walter Johnson lined up for the wild card game In terms of surprises, the Critters' George Vukovich won the batting title Boy batted only .319 but that was enough. So, both teams are gonna make it to silver. I would wish the Coons would avoid a subleague with *two* killer whales in their league then.

The Aotearoa Angels finished Bronze .243 with a lovely 91-71 record to take out the AC East. My Record Breaker Ty Cobb card providing a lot of value at the top of the lineup. I think I'll look to build a team around that card.

The Shanel Xtreme traded Mike Trout for a slew of players in late July and the team has taken off since. The Xtreme closed the season having won 44 of their last 54 games to storm into the playoffs with a 108-54 record and mighty mo on their side.

My Expos are going to the playoff with a win in the last game of the season and finish the season with a 84-78 record. My best pitcher is Livan Hernandez(75) and team era is 4.98...I dont know how this team can be in playoff but I'll take the free 1 000 pt point.

Major parity in my Iron league conference. My division and another one both needed to be decided by a 1-game tiebreaker to determine the title winner. I won mine 12-5. Trimmed my rotation to 4 and called up another reliever. Excited for the playoffs today!

Well, our first playoff game was rather exciting, Syndergaard had his first lousy game and we went down 6-2 in the fourth inning, but after we pulled him after 3 1/3 the bullpen only allowed 3 hits the rest of the game and Machado gave us the 7-6 win with the classic first-hit-of-the-inning grand slam in the 8th (we loaded the bases with an error and 2 walks).
EDIT: lmao and I had just about enough PP for another pack, sold a bronze card to get to 1000. The last pack I opened had a diamond Corey Kluber? Well, this one had a diamond Justin Turner. Probably means I'm moving Carpenter over to first I think, having Encarnacion DH where he's been more effective than Khris Davis for me. Well, him or Nimmo, he's been pretty good. Walter Johnson struck out 14 in the Wild Card Game and the Coons put up eight to move to the LDS... where they will be smothered by a 128-win team.

Down 2-0 in LDS. Have my Ace starting game three, so hoping for the best. Interesting note: Rod Carew hit a home run in game 2 after having none during the regular season.

Walter Johnson is each and everything keeping the Coons in the playoffs, scratching out a 1-0 win over the 2013 Clayton Kershaw to send the LDS to Game 5 …!
Chattanooga has already gone home, their pitching blasted for 29 runs in four games in the LDS.

After losing 2 games in a row, Expos are now tied 2-2 with a win on a sacrifice fly of Ben Gamel in the 12th.
Ken Hill on the mound for the final game. |

The Fighting Frogs got blitzed in the LDS, losing in 4 games. The starting pitching was especially bad. Too bad diamond Patrick Corbin can't pitch every day.

Jose Quintana got torn in half in a 9-2 bludgeoning in Game 5, so my teams are done for this season…
