I want to re-purpose a late 70s/early 80s Chicago White Sox uniform (yes, the awful ones with the collars) for another uni, but I can't figure out how to "crack" the .oi files. Anyone?

Just delete them and replace them with any era sox uniforms you like. They are not hard to find. If you are asking if the can be opened and edited then they cannot. I believe that is a requirement of the MLB & MiLB license. Just delete them.

If you ever want them back just reload the game. They will come back after every patch too so keep that in mind.

Just as an FYI, the .oi files are really just .png files with the file extension changed.

I just realized I misunderstood you. You said repurpose, I thought you said replace. No wonder my advice didn't make any sense to you! Sorry about that.
