If we can get a 3D model just yet. How about something in between the pawn we have now and the 3D model. Something like a lego man. Just so we can have a closer replication of the team's jerseys. It could look like below. And add a jersey sleeve color, a jersey undershirt color, pants color, pants stripe, socks and shoe colors. And have it for home and away. And as we select our colors, we could see a preview of what they would look like on the field.

Being able to say, sim as many seasons as possible.. Say start in 1900 and sim 40 or 50 years... just walk away from computer... I do believe you can only sim one year at a time... unless I am so dumb I am missing something?
I recently started a league in 1900 an "Alternate reality League" and simmed each season until 1945 where I started my take over as managing a team.... |

I'd like to see a way that you can develop a relationship with other GMs. If you make a trade with one, it makes it easier to get other trades done, and receive better offers. If you try to lowball a GM like this, your assistant GM steps in and says that an offer like this is likely to upset this certain GM. If players traded don't work out, have it slightly negatively impact that relationship, but if players traded work out, have it slightly positively impact that relationship as well.
It seems like every season I play, some GMs do make consistently better trade partners than others, but it's hard to say if it's just because you have a good working relationship with one, or if it's just about what you have compared to what they need, and vice versa. Also, a way to respond back to GMs that give you offers as well. If they can tell me they love the offer, want to think about it, or tell me to take a hike, I want to tell them that, too. lol Beyond that, Negro Leagues (which I'm sure would be a BIG project to undertake) and the WBC would be pretty cool to have. |

I like that mentioned Rivalry between certain teams.
Not sure how to program it, but several other sport-games has it. Another harder thing to implement should be my old issue of more importance to what pitch is thrown. Certain pitches in certain situations do have a major impact. And above all. More LOOGY situation, since I think this game doesn't really make that big difference if you put a strong lefty vs a lefty batter. Looking at too many roster setups by the AI with unrealistic numbers of lefties, might indicate that the important issue in baseball lefty vs lefty doesn't really pay full-out importance. Bringing in a lefty vs left batter should IMHO make a bigger difference in the game than I think I have cause to believe it does today. Creating something for the LOOGY situation shouldn't be too difficult. Pure calculation on how many innings contra games a lefthanded pitcher had in a season. Basically start with fewer innings than games plus some adjustments on min games of course. Perhaps few to none saves. We hopefully get a correct use of Ed vandeBerg, Juan Agosto, Kevin Hickey, Paul Assenmacher, Willie Hernandez, Al Osuna, Tony Fossas, Dan Plesac, Mike Myers and then some..... |

Isn't the new features announcement typically in January? Or am I off by a month or so?

And related to that because it reminded me of storylines, did anything come of the idea to have a generic "inactive" list, with a "reason" field? |

Last year was a bit later than usual. I believe 15 and 16 were announced in January some time. I don't recall earlier years.

With the exception of a few years, the announcement is usually in late January. I pretty much always pre-order as an early birthday present to myself. My birthday is in early February. That's the only reason I know.

Home Run Derby?
Minor League Evolution? Split Squad Games? Minor League Camp? Invited to Camp in Contract? Computer teams setting opening day rosters before opening day? Salary A. in February? Winter Meetings Live like in Orlando next year and a different city every year? Modern Era Hall of Fame voting? Live play by Play? Futures Game? Realignment in League Evolution? Insiders like TKSPORTS Games have?

Minor league evolution is actually a pretty good idea - especially when you consider that minor league affiliations and branding can change quite frequently. Maybe not so much in recent years but teams would move locations a lot back in the day from what I can remember.
Futures game is a great idea as well.
