Why is my fan interest dropping?

In the 2017 season with the Mariners. Came into the season with fan interest of 88. Through some great baseball and well received player acquisitions, my fan interest peaked at 95 somewhere in the middle of the season.

Then I kept winning - taking 102 games and winning the AL West, finishing with the best record in the American League. I am about to begin the ALDS...

And my fan interest is down to a season low of 87. What gives?

The player acquisitions likely gave you a temporary spike.

That makes sense, but

Why would my fan interest be lower before the playoffs than before the season?

I just won a division title for the first time in over a decade.

some fan bases don't like cheering for a winner. it's not in their blood. i suggest that, no matter what your owner says, you think long and hard about tanking next season.

Lost any popular players during the season?

My go-to guesses would either be an injury or somebody popular being left off the playoff roster.

i think some randomness is involved too - to mimic the type of things not so easily quantifiable (like just getting bored of baseball).

i've had seasons with good winning, playoff berth etc... all other things remaining the same, fan interest on occasion is unusually low in comparison.

the first year you start winning, exluded. i think it's more likely for fan interest to lag behind a bit. once consistent, it typically stays up there.

What is your Fan Loyalty?
It really does not make sense that your interest is lower now than the beginning of the season.
Definitely check the playoff roster.
