Help me with some awards

So I'm kind of conflicted with the 2083 Cy Young award and rookie of the year award this year (because I'm not so sure I agree with OOTP's choices), so help me out here.

I'm going to post pics for who is in the running for each award in separate posts in this thread, and I'm going to make a poll for ROTY (cause I can only do 1 poll per thread, so I will just read your responses about the Cy Young award).

Rookie of the Year nominees

Smith was a great defender at 2B (+6.5 ZR, .981 fielding %)

Zuniga was a poor defender at 1B (-6.1 ZR, .993 fielding %)

Campos led the league in ERA (second was Paco Gonzalez with a 2.92 ERA)

Cy Young award nominees

Campos led the league in ERA, with Gonzalez coming in 2nd, so there was a pretty big difference in ERA.

Campos also had a 3.57 FIP, while Gonzalez had a 3.39 FIP.

Gonzalez for Cy Young, Zuniga for ROY. Those other fellas are the kind of guys that get ROY when no one like Zuniga shows up to the party.

Personally, I'd rather have Smith on my team, but Zuniga would get ROY in real life, I am pretty sure.

Thanks for the response. I'm curious as to why you chose Gonzalez for Cy Young, was it the WAR, the strikeouts, FIP, or something else? I know ERA isn't everything, but such a big difference between the two players definitely shows something (maybe more about the teams rather than the player).

Strikeouts and Wins. Gonzalez seems like an Ace type of pitcher, whereas Campos just seems like a solid hurler.

I voted for Smith based on WAR before I noticed Zuniga's HRs and RBIs. My vote is changed to Zuniga for sure.

As for Cy Young, gotta give it to the 20-game winner.
