Expansion team - Minor league rosters

I started a standard MLB game and simulated the first season and then added two new teams and had an expansion draft.

The issue is have now is that most of my minor league rosters are empty. I have a total of 38 players in my whole organisation. I know there is a way to fill teams with fictional players but I don't want to mess with the minor league systems of other teams. Is there a way to just add fictional players to my minor league rosters?

Thanks.

Go to your team home page, then select a minor league team from the right. Once that team page opens, select the "Roster Transactions" Tab.

Top right drop down menu - "Fill team with fictional players".

Then do the remaining minor league teams.

That option doesn't come up for me, all I see is Ask AI to set up complete team, lineups etc.

You can also try to sign every minor league FA available.

After a couple of June drafts you'll have plenty of guys in the minors.

I have filled out my minors using both ways.

To keep it most authentic I sign guys from the FA pool for all teams, leaving some room in Short A and Rookie for drafted players. This way can be tedious though. On a side note, if you do it this way wait until the end of the pre-season games to sign guys for your AA and AAA teams so you can get some decent talent. Over the years I have even had some of these guys turn in to MLB players.

If I fill out with fictional players I delete them, usually after the first year. Sometimes they actually have some decent potential but it feels like a cheat so I still delete them.
