Android Version???
I know it's been addressed before, but any new news on that front? I'd love to have a version on my phone to mess around with on the offseason!
MAKE IT SO!!!

We talked about it during our Summer Meeting. It is a possibility for 2012 but we can not promise anything at this moment!

Cool.
Out of curiosity, how hard are things to port over from iPhone? Is it a matter of doing some code work or do you have to really do the whole thing from scratch?

Android and iPhone/iPad use different programming languages. It's probably a re-implementation which means multiple code bases to maintain and split resources (dev time) between.
On the plus side, if you add android support, the engine would be converted to java which could open up other platforms (MAC, Linux, etc). |

It will be another platform we have to support so as always man-power is an issue. But as I wrote earlier, chances are good that iOOTP 2012 will be available for Android. Just don't take this as an official announcement.

We talked about an Android version but it would take another person to do the Android related programming with me supporting him with the iootp (and baseball) related stuff. So I will not rule it out at the moment but I can't promise anything either.

HI,
Is there anything new on possible implementation of an Android version ? I had just ordered a Nook HD+ , and think that having OOTP 14 on it would be very nice. Thanks, Old Dog |

OOTP 14 (and 15, 16, etc.) will remain PC/Mac/Linux.
I hope we can release iOOTP 2014 for Android in addition to iOS, but I can't promise anything right now. We'll see how it goes. I know the roadblock has to do with porting some middleware to Android. |

I've cleaned my household of the trash (Apple products). Honestly the only reason I would ever have to have an ipad would be to play this game. So basically this game would cost me an ipad/ipod + the cost of the game. Not going to happen
