Coming back 3 times in extra innings, including by 5 runs once. Wow indeed.

The thing that you cant notice is that Kenny Holtzman of the Giants pitched 2/3 of an inning in the top of the 24th on 6 pitches... got the win... The game ended at 0718 ET .... and then Holtzman came back for a 1605 ET Start and pitched a complete game 4-hitter with 1 ER allowed for the win...

I LOVE THIS GAME.....

Lyman Bostock goes 0-12, yet he's still hitting .418 on the season.

9 hours is right, but night game isn't. 4:05 PT start.

(Unless this is a pre-OOTP 13 league, where time zones didn't exist yet.)

I'm a huge sabermatrician, but I love when games like this utterly break WPA/WPA graphs lol.

Or stuff like when Noah Syndergaard and Andrew Cashner broke FIP in 2016 I think.

Yes, I know we can modify or write our own recaps, but I would like smarter logic for the AI recaps. anyone else agree?

When a team wins in a walk-off, the recap ought to mention it.

BTW, the game log truncates the bottom of the 24th. I couldn't see how the winning run scored.

Exactly what I am talking about. Many walk-offs I have seen and nothing about it mentioned in the recap. How hard can that be to code? Still I love this game

They will almost always mentioned the walk-off, however it's set so that if one of the other recaps has already triggered for a game (in this case, the 5-hit game), then we skip the recap which digs a little deeper into the actual events of the game.

I have never read a recap about an MLB game that ended with a walk-off hit that didn't first highlight that walk-off play. So while I understand what you are telling me isn't there a way to include both the triggered event and the walk-off event?
