Full season Rookie and A- league?

Is there a way, aside from manually scheduling games, to make rookie and A- leagues start earlier in the year and run longer?

I've just started a game with an inaugural draft. I already have some rookies with a lot of potential but very little developed skill. They belong in the lowest levels of my minor leagues. But it seems like a waste for them to have to wait until the end of June to start playing games.

I even have a couple of hitters who are between A- and A ball. Usually I would be conservative with them and start them out in A-, but I'm tempted to have them play right away for my A ball affiliate. They are both right handed, so I was thinking of only putting in the starting lineup against left handed starting pitchers.

If I could get my lowest level minor league teams to start playing right away, then these issues would be resolved.

I understand that usually these leagues are usually for players who were just drafted, but by starting my game with an inaugural draft it creates a different set of circumstances.
