Official scorer bears a grudge?

I just happened to notice a line score of a simmed game where Atlanta scored 12 in the 7th inning.....upon checking the box score I discovered this!!
I reconstructed the inning from the game log; Walker came in to pitch after 2 singles, a FC, an E6 (popup) which plated 1 run, an F9 then 2 doubles, a BB and 1 single so there were 2 outs and runners on 1st and 2nd. Walker indeed allowed 4 hits and 1 BB and all the runners scored but they should all have been unearned I think!

How did he manage to give up "only" 5 runs, but 6 earned runs?

Relief pitchers are not relieved of responsibility by errors that were committed before they were brought into the game. So the "inning should have ended" priviso may not apply here . . . although 5 runs, 6 ER is clearly wrong.

Earned run - BR Bullpen

Good point, although checking the Birmingham pitching totals the accumulated unearned runs by each pitcher (44) is the same as the team unearned runs total so it doesn't seem as if the unearned runs were charged to the pitcher but not the team. It's all very odd!
