This kid has eaten his Wheaties!
Quite an impressive performance for a month here. Royce has won the last three Player of the Week awards in the league, and has homered 15 times in July (which includes the All Star Game) in only 26 games.
By the way, 30 home runs are about outrageous in this league (41 is the all time high), and this boy hasn't even played full time at the start of the year! So, who can top 15 dingers in a month?

Yeah, so they calling it "Wheaties" in your league, eh? Sorta like "The Cream" in real life?

Or was it "The Clear"?

People are overlooked for a variety of biased reasons and perceived flaws. Age, appearance, personality. Bill James and mathematics cut straight through that. Billy, of the 20,000 notable players for us to consider, I believe that there is a championship team of twenty-five people that we can afford, because everyone else in baseball undervalues them." |
