Complaint Dept.

Ok I have FHM3

and against my better judgement I am playing a path to glory game.
here are my problems
1 Why is it when you "Finish Today" it has to go back to a blank generic page while sim's the games then goes to the Inbox. I would like it to stay on the page im looking at .

2, Im on Nov 4th and the SPHL,NAHL,USHL and NCAA still doesn't even have a schedule yet the FHL who start after the SPHL do.

3 also on this date the SPHL Roanoke team didn't even have any players

4 is more of a question. three teams have sent me a request to be the GM yet I don see anyplace to say Yes or No.

The reason I bring these up (1 thru 3) is im trying to make jerseys for all these league and I cant add them with out a roster. seems no matter how I try the game make a new version of the team jersey even tho I have already set a jersey up to use. So now I have to wait for the game to make a roster and I can click a player to make sure I have the right jersey. (ALSO a pain in the BUTT)

Do you have 'Show Home Screen after advancing' selected under Game -> Setup / Options?

Those aren't playable leagues. They don't show up with schedules or individual games. Stats are generated for players in those leagues, though.

Don't have an answer for this. I see it, too. But it's an unplayable league, so hasn't been the focus of development or research.

In the email they send, does it have an action item menu? It should be in there.

Torognius basically answered all questions. Non of the questions have anything to do with PtG mode.

Ok I fixed Number 1

2. Why would these leagues not be playable. Seems very silly to me. Im not a fan of the NHL much. Also I used to be a staff member of an SPHL team, Thats why I would want to play that league.

3. I hope this becomes something worked on.

4. I got nothing but they want my services. my options in the action menu included read delete this and delete all.

5. Im at Nov 21st the NCAA,SPHL,USHL and NAHL still have yet to play a single game. This is way out there. why would this be the norm. ?
The SPHL season starts OCt 21st, the NAHL starts Sept 9th, The USHL starts Nov 3rd and the NCAA starts
Oct 7th for some of the schools.

also a new problem. I using a 32" screen and the bottom of the game is under my windows bar. how do I fix that ?

I'm not a dev, so this may not be 100% accurate, but the lower level leagues require just as much research and database development as the higher tier leagues, and there aren't as many resources providing that data. The initial setup and research isn't the hard part... the upkeep of that data is. Couple that with the very low demand to play those leagues, and they get dropped down on the priority list.

The research team has, in the past, issued calls for help in researching and updating the database. I imagine they'll do so again. Keep an eye on the forums.

2. Non-Playable leagues (like the name says) are not meant to be played actively. It is a lot of work to make a league playable and the Researcher do all this in their free-time, so it is not possible to have every league in the world playable. Non-Playable leagues don´t have schedules or standings and teams don´t play any games (player still get basic stats).

3. There is nothing to be worked on at this time. Only if we ever make that league playable, we will work on it.

4. You need to answer on the day you get it (that´t why the News/PM screen shows up ).

5. See 2. above.

Regarding the windows bar: either hide it yourself or choose windowed mode.

Exactly.

All of this is subject to the time energy and passion we get from researchers as well as setting priorities as to what leagues most people want to play.

How many people are actually going to buy the game just to play the NAHL for example? Probably no one.

If there aren't enough folks to create the leagues and keep them up to date, not to mention researching rules and schedules etc. then the leagues can't be made playable.

We try to make as many leagues as possible playable, and we'll surely get to more in the future, but this is something that takes a lot of time and effort and in the end, there's not that much reward from spending scare resources on obscure leagues, so we have to depend on volunteers. If we don't get the volunteers to cover specific leagues, we don't get to include the leagues.

I understand the limited time and resources.
Just kinda strange that time was put into the FHL and not more major leagues.

So what does it take to get a league "Going" ?

Is there a formula you use for minor leagues to set up players stats/Abilities ?

First of all a dedicated researcher who is willing to do all the needed work. And the league needs to be doable regarding e.g. structure and rules.

Someone who wants to join the research team and take care of a specific league to start with. They get in touch with Jeff, he responds, they sign an NDA, and he sets them up with the editor.

They work on the league and once it's in good shape, Jeff and the team approves adding it as a playable league, and maybe tweaks the rules etc.

That's the basic idea anyway. The details may vary, Jeff could give you a better answer than I can.

Your best bet is to send Jeff a PM.

Obviously he's super busy right now, so I can't say how soon he'll answer, but the's the guy to talk to about helping out with the db.

I didn't get the message yet, but if you'd like to work on the SPHL we'd be happy to have you. Just PM me your email address, we'd need you to sign a nondisclosure agreement first.
