How real is this game?

I playing 2015 Royals in real sim time. The threat of heavy rain was high all day here in reality. My scheduled game was canceled at 4:47 and doubleheader set for tomorrow with White Sox. Is this tied into the actual weather report for Kansas City today? That's kind of scary and awesome if so.

Also on a unrelated but equally bizarre note Cuban player Yasmany Tomas of Arizona had a career ending injury and retired. Then it got better the MLB news reported he was now going to MLS to play goalie whaaaaaa?

How's Yasmany doing for you guys?

Today's weather has no effect on OOTP. Weather is part of the game though, obviously.

Each month has an average temperature and a rain chance percentage based on normal weather for that city.
(If you create a team in a city with no weather, I think it defaults to some very average temperature. You can also pick a city's weather to copy.)

Huh, I didn't know that.

Wonder how many rain outs you'd get making a league somewhere that gets rain most of the year.
