It looks like the Terriers are starting off strong with a 5-10 record. The pups must be distracted and looking ahead to their Wednesday showdown with Brooklyn.

Christy Mathewson had the best game of fetch for the Terriers and is being shipped off to the all-star festivities.
In depressing news, the Terriers are 30-68 and in the relegation zone. In not as depressing news, the Terriers and Brooklyn split a 4 game set yesterday. |

Brooklyn is looking like they will end up joining Hiram College back in diamond. They are officially a yo-yo team.

Yeah, apparently the league office frowns on my Terriers turning every opponents stadium into their own personal fire hydrant and are sending us packing. I'm not sure what your Brooklyn teams excuse is, but I'll see you back in diamond. And hey, at least you didn't lose over 100 games like we did lol
We had a good 5 year run in perfect. And on the brightside, I adopted an 88 Roberto Clemente yesterday, He showed up in a pack despite all of the Hiram College suck. So there's a glimmer of hope. |

Actually, we won't be joining Hiram College in diamond...Brooklyn has somehow pulled off a great escape via tiebreaker over the Missouri Maples. Both finished 60-102, and I have no idea how the tiebreaker works.

52-110 was pathetic enough to get Hiram College shipped back to diamond.
You'd think I'd be upset, but I'm not. In fact, to keep Terrier morale high I brought in 25 salami and cheese sandwiches for the pups. Everyone gets their own sandwich to eat, bury, or tear apart. The Terriers are only 21-21 in our first year back in diamond, but we're hitting AND pitching again, so that's nice to see. I have no problem going back up to perfect but it's obvious I need super Terrier cards to actually make a difference.
I also noticed I'm in the same league as the New Orleans Penguins, so good luck to you little waddlers. |

We can enjoy my abject humiliation [as the ship sinks] from the box seats. I have kibble! And some Penguin squeaky toys. |

The Terriers have a solid 59-40 record at the break. The 3 pups who caught the longest frisbee throws were Kirby Puckett, Don Drysdale, and Josh Beckett. They each earned a squeaky hamburger toy and are being shipped off to the all-star game.

The Terriers finished 93-69 and are slotted into the Wildcard game. This is the first playoff appearance in 6 seasons so hopefully we'll stay focused on a championship run and not the squirrels in the big oak tree behind the dugout. We ended up first in the league in batting average AND starting pitching so it's pretty clear Hiram is good enough to be somewhere above diamond and below perfect.

Well Chapman does have his very own "I hate Aroldis Chapman" thread.
I carry Gregg Olson, I sure don't need *another* walk-issues closer. Sold him three times so far, he's haunting me whenever I open packs. |

Thanks. My playoff strategy is take off their leashes 10 minutes before opening pitch and cross my fingers.
It's a strategy that works sometimes lol |

Tied 4-4 in the bottom of the ninth, power pup Nelson Cruz flexed his little Terrier muscles with a walkoff jack.
To show my appreciation, I let Nelson tear into a pack of raw hot dogs. He devoured them in about 2 minutes flat. |

The Terriers have been "cruzing" since Nelson's epic walkoff moonshot. They won the division series 3 games to 1 and are currently deadlocked at 1 game apiece in the LCS.
Looks like we'll be packing our bags for perfect next season. Perhaps with a diamond title? It's still possible |

The Terriers missed out on the World Series this year falling 4 games to 3 in the LCS. Our focus was in the right place up until the late innings of game 7 when some kid in the bleachers dropped his ice cream cone on the ground and all 3 of my Terrier outfielders made a b-line to lick it up. All focus was lost after that.
On the brightside, during the playoff run, Heinie Zimmerman scored me 1000 points for a ten game RBI streak! Off to perfect.....again. |
