Kershaw lower OPP AVG for one. Not a fan of giving it to a .500 pitcher though. Would love to know how he lost 14 games.

I vote for Fernandez as I feel like in this day and age of baseball having a guy that makes 35 starts and has the stat line like he did is about the most valuable thing in baseball right now. The amount of injuries with pitching these days, its why I thought Verlander deserved the MVP over Miggy in not sure which year that was where they both had great years. A SP that logs nearly 250 innings and takes so much pressure off your bullpen and put up those great numbers will almost always get my vote.

Interesting you mention injuries, here. I finished off the 2017 season, and Fernandez did not fare as well as his 2016 season. He was lost to injury in August and missed 5 months. Not a bad year per se, but enough to knock him off his perch as top pitcher in 2017.

Kershaw, however, seemed to get better. His 2017 year was supported by a 4.17 runs scored per game by the Dodgers, as they ran away with the NL West title again.
