Crazy
First off, I'm a Steam purchaser.
Last night I got home and fired up the game. Deleted a few leagues and started to watch a some games. While deleting the leagues, the game played fine, but once I started playing I noticed the game play was bogged down and I was getting lots of non responding notices. Thought maybe it was Windows updating. Eventually, everything came to a halt. I tried to exit game. Game slowly went through shutdown process, but never officially closed. Only option was to force shutdown computer. Here's where it gets really strange. When I turned computer back on and went to my Steam game page, OOTP20 no longer had the option to play, instead it had the option to install. I exited Steam and clicked on me OOTP on screen shortcut. It too took me to an option to install OOTP20. I went ahead an installed the game and everything seems to be working fine. I had one league I had created it a few days ago and if I click on it, the game tells me I can't play it, because it was created with another version of OOTP. Strange. What would cause something like this? It looks like the reinstall worked and the game is playing as it should. Bizarre. |

I dont play Steam, I use the version from OOTP site. I have had this happen to me twice playing OOTP 20 when the auto save didn't fully save the game ( backup was also not saved right as well). I know the reason it happened on my computer, My hard drive was too full so when I closed the game it didn't save, but its possible because the game didn't close the world Data didn't get saved. My suggestion is to take the Wold data from the auto save paste in regular file and see if the game loads.
