Wrong setting contracts

Hello, I wonder why they are wrong setting contracts with players? for example, burns brett m in Game 1 year contract when he actually has a contract for 9 years

Are there any file or update to fix the contract so that they are like in reality?

The contracts are as they were at the start of the NHL season. Burns didn't sign his new contract until November, so the Sharks in the game have to negotiate a renewal with him as they did in real life.
