Exporting Everything

I know how to export rosters.

I don't, but need to, know how to export standings.
I don't, but need to, know how to export a schedule.
I don't, but need to, know how to export a list of game results.

2. Schedules are in a text file. It is a simple job to copy the text files to Excel. If you have elementary skills with "text to columns" and "concatenate" it is real easy to manipulate. Schedules are here:



As long as you stick to the naming convention you can load your altered schedules here:



Also note that you can export 2 separate xml reports in this same menu. Good for checking that you didn't screw up the schedule.

3. Game results.

1. I dont see a good way to export standings but if you are handy with excel you could probably come up with a way to rebuild the standings directly from the data in the game results spreadsheet.

It would take a little bit of work but it is totally doable. If you are comfortable with recording macros you would only have to do it once. Then you just run the macro every time going forward.

I don't know how good you are with excel but I can show you a VLook-up formula and how to use it so that you can replace Team ID Numbers with actual team names and how to replace Player ID Numbers with actual player names.

Ok, I'll show you how it works tomorrow evening. It's pretty easy once you use it a few times.

For standings you can look at the Team_Record.csv. There are a couple of other pieces of information you will need, although depending on whether you change the structure you probably would need to only get those once from the team_relations.csv (based on the team_id), and the team name/nickname from the teams.csv (based on the team_id). I've found it best to concatenate the league_id, sub_league_id, and division_id (all from team_relations) with the pos (from team_record). That would give you a column to sort by that would produce the correct order per division.

I did switch to access and excel to automate it better, but I can help answer any questions too. And I've also got a sample spreadsheet that I can show you with some sample formulas as well if you are interested.
