Okay, it's dumb question time: how do you work out the BABIP rating?

Not a dumb question at all. For the cards that were available at the launch date, the developers released a spreadsheet that includes the BABIP rating.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/5c44rh96gv..._list.csv?dl=0

I don't think there is a simple formula to disentangle BABIP from the contact rating. Below are some formulas that I worked out once for the relationship betwen CON, BABIP, AVOIDK and POW, but they're not very convenient to use and don't cover all cases.

The way I figure the BABIP rating for cards not on the spreadsheet is I input their other ratings (GAP, POW, EYE, AVOID K) into the main game and adjust the BABIP rating so that I get the correct CON value out. Then divide the BABIP rating by 2 because it's on 1-250 scale in the editor instead of 1-125.

I was wondering why my Stunners' Perfect League was so top & bottom heavy (no prizes for guessing which I am ) - then I realised they're in Perfect .420 with a whole bunch of PL championship teams

Paragon City Heroes have cut the gap to 5 1/2 games and lead the wildcard race by 3, currently 47-35 after beating the league leaders 3-1 in a vital series. A significant offensive overhaul brought in Boggs, Yount and Live Josh Bell, all have been great so far. Sold a lot of reserves so have 25k PP to maybe reinforce that playoff push, CF is one area i need to strengthen, McReyolnds is great with his glove but .670 OPS doesn't really cut it. Garry Maddox would be perfect if one comes up at a reasonable price

Bad News Bulldogs completed their 1st 2 Reds collections, adding Hal Morris and Pete Donohue to the roster, despite going 3-7 in the last 10 we are still hanging in there at 42-39, 4 games back and 2 1/2 back in the WC, defence is getting there, Pete Rose and vada Pinson are carrying the offence

Nemuan Furshlusgginers are in 4th place at 44-39. Mainly thanks to a ton of teams being loaded for bronze level (the teams leading the divsion has Diamond Williams and Pujol, and a rotation led by Scherzer, Syndegaard and Verlander) and I got swept by a team with perfect Trout and Diamond Dean Chance, my team currently has 1 diamond (Bieber thanks to his bump) 10 golds and the rest silvers, but it's kind of funny that so many loaded teams are fighting it out in the same bronze league even if i am wallowing in mediocrity
Division race looks awfully crowded

Two vaguely-.500 teams and the Raccoons getting kicked and beaten. Nothing new here.

I went 14-4 in July leading up to the All-Star break and saw the lead in my division cut in half to just 2 games. I'm counting on the Fighting Frogs to fight and win their 4 game series after the break.

The FTP Pack Only Lowell Muck Rakers are in their 7th straight season in Perfect and are playing like there won't be an 8th. I'm surprised they've even lasted this long since the only guy I've been able to add over the last three seasons has been a Gold Live Pete Alonso. The pack luck has completely evaporated. Oh, well. It's been a good run!

The Bombers are having a historic season leading the league at the All-Star break with a record of 88-7 with a RDiff of +441, it's one of the weakest PL I've been in but there's a couple of great teams that I could potentially face in the WS if logic prevails. That's not to say that there couldn't be surprises on the National League.

My Starting Pitching has a 2.41 ERA with Cy Young being a stud with a 19-0 record and a 1.53 ERA.

My Pen is also leading the league with a ridiculous 1.48 ERA, Mariano has 36 saves and 0.88 ERA!

My Offense is also firing on all cylinders, hitting a combined .309, with an OBP of .400 and slugging .490. DiMaggio, Boggs, Connor and Gibson leading the way.

Having said that the Battery Park City Tamps are giving my Bombers a run for the money and it would be an amazing WS match-up.

Good luck all.

We did fight, but could only win 2/3. Something tells me your team doesn't really need any help.

You did great! After losing the series to you, they got no-hit the next game and lost 3 in a row for the first time this season. They have one hellish schedule in August --- only 1 day off.

Perfect storm of good fortune for the Dynasty, as they come out of the All-Star Break with an 8 game winning streak, while their nearest competition in the division loses their first 10. As a result, Brooklyn sits at 68-37 and their lead in the division is at its new high water mark of 13 games, and they continue to try to keep up with the big three in the other conference (Doha, Maine, and Cottage Grove).

Paragon City Heroes were 10 games back at one point, they are now leading the division by 1 1/2 games at 63-44. We are still awful in extra innings (5-10), one run games (17-19) and vs lefties (16-16) but we are getting there. Bought a Maddox that got listed for 7 day average, very happy with my team (which is good as i've spent all of my PP)

Bad News Bulldogs went on a 5 win streak after the all star game to get back above .500 (54-53). I finished the Peak Joey Votto collection and after 76 at bats he has already overtaken most of the lineup in WAR. Lonny Frey is now a better shortstop than Concepcion and Concepcion is now a better 2b than SS so that's something.

Neuman Furshlugginers are frustrating, currently 60-48 but very inconsistent and their pitching/batting suggests they should be doing better (which shows in the pythag of 65-43 which would put them a game behind the division leader and 1st in the WC) as it is i can't see them making the push needed for playoffs

Since we do not play each other in the regular season, I hope to meet you in the World Series, even though I think it will be easier for you to reach the finals.

I got my first no-hitter in PT... well, the first one I noticed, for sure. Thing is... I think it'd be pretty easy to miss a no-hitter if you weren't really paying attention to your team.

My no hitter was a shared one... and I got 500 PP for that. My reaction was... that's all? For a no-hitter?

And the boxscore writeup didn't even mention it was a no hitter! The headline talked about a shutout.

I feel like no-hitters (shared or otherwise) are so uncommon that maybe PT should make more of a fuss over them!

One of the carryovers from the copy/paste job that is PT; the vanilla OOTP game also does nothing to recognize combined no-hitters. Be glad you got 500 PP at all...

Coons: 5th, 41-71, 19.5 GB

Rebs: 2nd, 58-53, 11 GB, 2nd wild card, but up by only half a game

Accountants: 3rd, 56-54, 7 GB, and 3 GB for a wild card

I also discarded dismal DiMaggio yesterday, replaced him with a Special Edition Bobby Thomson, and fascinatingly the results are equally dismal.

**** it, I'll play Juan Lagares now…

Yikes, a team in my Islanders league (thankfully the other conference) have clinched their division on August 14th, with a 102-11 record and 50 game lead

So now we have 80 wins, 48 losses, 162 home runs, & 166 stolen bases.

The pace earlier projected 240 HR & 240 SB by now that I was wondering if the team could keep up but that was only after the first 20 games. Stargell was on pace to hit 50 or 60 HR & he is only at 29. Henderson has aboot 51 steals.

The franchise W-L record looks safe but this group could still set a Perfect Leagues franchise record.
