FTP Teams - or - Small Market Woes
I'm new to Perfect Team, so please correct me if I'm wrong - once the Beta is over, it will be possible to spend real world money to buy PPs. I am enjoying the game every much, but would quickly be priced out of competition in such a system. Will there be leagues or whatever in which people who can't afford to spend real world cash can still compete and have fun?
I'm a Pirates fan, so I'm used to having a small market team and watching the big boys play in October, but I can hope. |

Kind of...but not really. There is a promotion/relegation system where the best teams should rise to the top leagues and teams that don't spend money or get lucky fight it out in the lower leagues. There is plenty of fun to be had there. |

Exactly! If you do not look at the league designation such as P 410 or B whatever it is all the same. The competition is fierce.

The tournaments will also be coming as OOTP XX rolls on. I think they said mid April or so. Say they have something like an Iron tournament where everybody can enter a team using only iron-level players. A FTP player shouldn't have any problem getting in on that kind of thing, especially since the tournaments are free and no PP required to enter! I'm looking forward to those big-time.

The league system will leave you competitive after about a month but the lowest league is usually won by a brand new team that spends money. My advice is to find ways to enjoy yourself without winning (experiments, etc...) And if you don't want to spend money then you should aim to stay in the lower league for as long as possible. The game gets considerably less fun as you move up and quickly if you don't spend.
