Starting up this thread. Welcome back friends.

I'm pleased that my Durham Tattered Gloves are off to a 7-1 start and have been boostered by going from Don Mattingly at DH to a platoon of Jack Clark and Johnny Mize.

I have to admit I haven't ever owned either Jack Clark or Johnny Mize in PT but have hovered over the buy now button a zillion times... sounds like a good platoon!

Good luck to everyone this week and post up the standings from time to time for those of us who can't see 'em!

It's kind of crazy to use a platoon at DH, but I had a roster spot I was barely using. I used Billy Hamilton as a PR all last season. lol

At least I'll have a decent PH on the bench.

My Peaches have flown out to a 9-2 start in my first year. Made the WC last year and added Edwin Diaz, Gary Sheffield between seasons and just bought Brian Downing.

Yeah, weird start. The team is now 9-18 which is one of our worst starts ever, if not the worst. The bullpen's ERA is 8.08 after being either 1st or 2nd last year. 16 of 22 IR scored and and they've blown 6 of 9 SO. We recently lost 3 straight games by 3-2 scores and all 3 were blown by the bullpen. Pretty impressive, hah?! Obviously the bullpen isn't this bad, so things should turn around.

The game really has it in for my bullpen this season. I'm not going to change a thing, because I'm curious about how badly this group can do for an entire season. Their ERA is down to 7.88, but they keep blowing games. We're now 11-26 which is our worst start ever.
