Contracts are brutal
Not even five minutes in and I’m disappointed. Guys like Matthews and Marner want 2 year deals for around $5 million per year and won’t sign anything long term. It’s just not realistic.
Oh, and the Leafs should be able to offer 8 years to Nylander but the game only allows 7. It also won’t allow me to offer him more than $830,177 per season. Last edited by Unsung_Hero; 10-08-2018 at 07:50 PM. |

I was able to sign Matthews to an 8 year contract @ 12.5/year in my test game. Sometimes long-term contracts are possible.
Plus, remember that unless you edit it yourself, the salary cap does not go up in FHM. If you go about signing multiple long-term deals that teams in the NHL do, you run the risk of cap issues in future years. I've found that players often want 1 or 2 bridge deals then they are willing to sign long-term. At least that was my experience in FHM4. |
