OOTP 16 Update #9, Version 16.9.39 released!

OK.

I have a 27" iMac.

When I am in Broadcast or 3d, when I select a player to move him to look better, he always vanishes or when I drop him somewhere he lands someplace completely different.

Been going on ALL year

I was never able to reproduce this. No idea why it does this for you.

I'm also mac and have the problem. you will have to move the players outside of the game in the stadium editor for the players to not disappear. For whatever reason, there's an issue doing it in game.

While it's definitely not a game breaker and wouldn't warrant a patch imo, it is an issue. When you're in a game and you try to move players on the field, they jump far from where you release the right mouse button. Usually, they jump far to the right and I can still see them. If that happens and I try to move them again, they completely move off screen. Would it help if I posted a video of this happening?

After installing the 16.9.39 patch, in my first game, I ran into an issue in the 8th inning where I could not pinch hit for my pitcher. The UI would not let me drag and drop a replacement hitter. Nor could I replace the pitcher for a reliever that was warming up in the bullpen.

My only work around was making a 2 for 1 switch and manually changing the player positions. After drag and drop my reliever to any of my positional players and setting his position to "P" was I finally able to select a pinch hitter.

FWIW I have made a ton of switches since the newest patch with no issues with the PC version.

Not seeing any issues yet either. I will keep messing around with to make sure it is working as advertised.

I don't know if this helps or not, but when this occurred, I had a very unusual occurrence. My pitcher was the next batter due up in the next inning. There were two outs and he got hurt on the play for the 3rd out. So I was prompted to replace the pitcher between innings.

As he was the first batter, I tried to pinch hit for him, but the UI wouldn't let me drag and drop. I tried changing to pitch-by-pitch mode, thinking that he was not officially announced in the game, then tried to pinch hit again. No luck.

Yeah, that's something in the game that is hopefully fixed sometime. The game cannot continue with an unfilled lineup slot in the order and when a P comes into a game he has to face one batter, even in your situation due to OOTP limitations. I kind of wondered if something like this had happened.

IOW a known issue that I assume would take a lot of coding to fix or it already would have been done. But who knows Markus used to be the only one coding this part of the game but now with Matt on-board maybe it is something that will get done.

Insert player I want to PH and select "PH" for position >
See if next inning starts with the PH in the lineup ?

Thanks! I'll give this a try the next time this happens. I've been playing OOTP for 3 years now and OOTP16 is the best version yet! I love the ability to just manage the team. Being a GM is a nice option and being officially licensed with MLB is a huge plus!

They are on the manager's page, available with a dropdown widget IIRC, though.

Thanks, but before this release was also on team's home page, under injuries. Loved it there because it is a one-shop-screen for how team stands in hitting and pitching stats, injuries, prospects and who is hot and cold. Can we get it put back????

Were they? As far as I know, nothing in that has changed at all recently.
