Acuna or Soto??
You're starting a new MLB team in real life. You can only pick one to start your team, Ronald Acuna Jr. or Juan Soto only. Which one do you take??

Acuna matata. Jr needs to mature. But he is more talented in my book.

Not to put a damper on the discussion, but a couple years ago the question was between Harper, Bryant, and Trout, and they have a combined 1 world series title.

I am a Braves fan but I would still take Soto. But not exactly a terrible choice between the two.

Soto, for sure.
True. But especially in Trout's case, I wouldn't blame an individual for falling short in a team achievement category. Is there any doubt that Trout could've been and still could be the anchor in a championship caliber lineup? (For those who value WAR, Trout is clearly not the reason the Angels aren't contending for championships.) |

This is why I dont like putting labels on individual players in team sports, how many times do we hear "he can't be called a legend/great until he wins a championship" .

"Player A has never won a title" is the level of analysis I expect from a morning show with people yelling at each other.
