Data Update Plans

While we may not have a new version of the beta ready every week, we're going to try to keep the database updated that frequently. We collect and merge researcher data every Sunday night, so we're tentatively planning on putting out database updates every Wednesday (assuming that gives us enough time to test for potential problems, so that day may changed if it proves to be too soon.) That'll start next week, since no one has been doing any editing except me during the last few pre-beta release days.

The actual number of weekly changes will be highly variable, depending on the researcher's real life schedule - don't expect perfectly-updated rosters after every trade, for example, and it won't be unusual to see few changes for a couple of weeks and then a big burst of activity.

We'll post the updates in this forum; they'll probably take the form of a .rar or .zip file you'll need to extract into your game directory (I'll give full instructions when the time comes.) Completely optional, of course, it's just something for people who'd like to have the newest data. New beta versions will also contain the most recent database, these downloads will just cover the gaps when we go a little while between versions.
