This is so darn cool! Can I change the file so if I start in 2015 it will begin using the first baseball card in the list? I would LOVE to have a variety in my fictional modern day leagues. Would it be a simple XML year change to make this happen?

To use it starting in 2015 you would to rename the wanted xml files to *_2015.xml. Of course you would need to have a 2016 etc file.

A tip is you can get a free file renamer program from download.com and use it to rename all the files in groups.

If you want to use a template that's not in this pack simply rename the xml files from that template accordingly and copy the image files into the image directory.

Gambo, this was a great accomplishment getting all these files together. I always dreamed the cards would get this comprehensive.

I'll update some my templates (using the ones that are in the default OOTP16 install). I've done the 1888 Goodwin / Old Judge template and attached the .zip. I couldn't find a substantive difference in the XML in the PC and MAC folders, is there any?

I also learned a clever new trick to get text to appear on a card only for a batter (or pitcher). It always caused me grief aligning text in the past. Check the XML and you'll see. Not sure if anyone else had used this technique when I was absent.

Extending it outside the visual boundaries of the card to manipulate things is great idea BMW. Glad to see you back.

If you need an update on what's been added or removed for the card template feature fhomess made an updated guide you can find here: OOTP Baseball Card Templates - StatsLab Wiki

There are some new Tokens I've found in the hof xml:
[%CAREER_LAST]
[%CAREER_FIRST]
[%PERSON_CITY_DESCR]
[%INDUCTION_PCT]
[%AGE_RETIRE]
Not sure about this with fonts:
font_name="regular"

You don't even need to go beyond the visual boundaries of the card, just the visual boundaries of the text element you've added the text to. I'll usually do this for stats headers by defining the text element height to be something like 15 pixels, then using carriage returns and a batter/specific stat to limit its display to those types of players.

Thanks, I've added these to my Wiki. What does the PERSON_CITY_DESCR token display?

I think there's also a way in the xml to have it use away uniforms also. When I get the chance I'll see what I can scrape up what also may not on the wiki.

Remove all the HOF.xmls with years attached, just keep the HOF.xml file and it should work.

Does anyone have the 1952 topps template? The link on rhino takes you to a blank screen. Thanks!

Wonder if someone would be able to add something to have 1871 through 1886 to the file. It would be better to have the Allen & Ginter set for those years than having the default one. I don't know how to set this in the yearly sets so that would be appreciated, thanks.

BTW it's good to be back, not that I haven't purchased the game since OOTP 2013 since I got the 2015 version and I just got the 2016 version last friday... I just didn't have the time to post.

Already been done! The Mort Rogers scorecards were a real thing in the early days of big-league baseball. The link below will explain, show you the card template, and let you download the file!

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ml#post3938279

Just rename the .xml file to "default_1871-1885", or whatever years you like.
