I saw the Maidana update - nice! I'll check out the other 2. Very nice update on all 3 - as per usual Ice Tea, you/your team do a great job! Last edited by hamed2; 06-28-2009 at 12:01 PM. |

Ok... I've got the "2 step method" for updating down.
Is there any way to then import to my Uni ONLY the changes or additions made? Seems very tedius to look after each and every addition to decide whether to import or not. Am I missing something?? Sorry if I am being thick here... |

To my knowledge there isn't a way to only import the changes. You can find a listing of the changes at: Changelist The database itself can be found at: Fighterlist bear

Unlinking certain fighters with the Data pool (HWs, retired guys, anyone you think is already perfect, however you like) Or just importing certain guys on your update, perhaps by year if that works for you, 2009-2009 only, for example . . or just HW, again, up to you

I'll post all new additions to this thread so people who have only one universe do not ruin it.

Thanks All....
Bear - That was how I was planning to "attack" this. Good, I feel I am ontrack to doing this the RIGHT way then! Ice - Good stuff, and I see all of your updates are listed out. Then we can pick and choose as we like. I do have more than one Uni. Main, for updating. Then the one I am currently working with. Thanks!! Thunder - Didn't know these tips. should prove very helpful!! Off to do some exporting and importing!!! Thanks guys!! JD |

After much trial and error. I wanted a little confirmation,
or shortcuts as to the way you guys "work" with your updates. After updating BOTH areas. Frontpage and inside MY Uni. I look at the CHANGELIST changes. I decide which updates I want for MY Uni. I then import the files. For each file I see choices. 1 - Record already exists. Update anyway? 2 - Overwrite or No to create new record? 3 - Import stats and fight record? So far I answered to the above 3 Y N Y Not sure what #3 does or doesn't do? I then have TWO fighters in MY Uni with the same name. From here, One guy has his record in my Uni. Other guy (the import) has a 0-0 record. I then compare number by number and change MY Uni guy ratings with the record to MATCH the updated 0-0 guy. Then I just delete the "update" guy and I am good to go. Thoughts, ideas, shortcuts?? And what about the "Exchange" file. Should I delete all so that when I import, those are the ONLY files there?? Whew... My brain kinda hurts from all this knowledge...HA!! |

Khoren Gevor MW
New addition. Lost KO 11 to Arthur Abraham for the IBF middleweight belt, but was ahead on the score cards. Recently won the EBU middleweight title and is scheduled to get a shot at Felix Strum. Both fighters fight under the same banner so it is assumed that they are allowing Strum to sink or swin.

Good work with the updates as always.
Mike uses them for the "Title Bout Predicts" section of TheBoxingMagazine.com RingTV.com also reviews some of the less popular fighters from time to time. Their analysis can be used to create some of the fighters who are basic "mysteries" because of their lack of TV, Internet or video exposure.

^ It's funny, I was checking him out today & he was still a 5. I'm glad you upgraded him, he could soon be a force @ 154.
Thanks for Bobby Gunn too - as a 1 I see why he didn't last long with Adamek. |
