Been here since the first Mac version. Never seen this level of pettiness...over a button. Click the ******** dismiss button and move on. I've been around computer gaming since the Apple I days, and these guys are flat out the most responsive developers I've ever seen. They're better than the Beagle Brothers team, and that takes some doing.

Extremely dismissive. Sort of a trend. Even if I hadn’t gone the done route after PT this attitude would have put me there. Arrogant and pretentious.

EDIT: To be honest, the attack dogs ....especially at very long time customers, aren’t helping much either. Pretty counterproductive I’d say if they really love the brand. Just one flyover country man’s opinion.

Definitely dismissive. Sure, his complaint was petty at best, but seriously, that is not how you guys should be conducting yourself with your customers.

While I don't disagree with you, I feel obligated to point out that while you find it annoying to click one button, you have done at least 100x that amount of work typing all of your replies since your original post.

Just saying...

We will have 2-3 more updates this year. One today, another one early next week and then another one 1-2 weeks later. Doesn't sound too bad to me.

Oh, and by the way, the option to disable the news popup is already there:
Settings dialog -> Misc -> Display Latest News from OOTP

Anyway, I'll close this thread now, it has run its course.
